by Tricia

Tons of rain caused nitrogen to leech out of the soil. I tried an emergency organic fix. It worked 100%! . I SAVE THE TOMATOS!! I am a gardening superhero. ๐Ÿ™‚

You know what Chad? I will do exactly that. I’ll make a video this weekend and show closeups of how to pinch back tomatos for the best growth. If there’s anything else you want to see on the video, leave a comment here and I’ll include it on the video ok?

Looks great, is there any way you could explain or even better, show how to pinch off tomato plants. Last year mine were at least 10 feet high and out of control. I have read about pinching them but just don’t get it.

    My planters are …
My planters are like battlements. I only have two. I ran out of uniform timbers. I’ll have to go beachcombing with my canoe on the river and make me a raft.
My planters are 10’x 5′ and 16″ high. I have a yard of trap rock under 3 yards of very fresh horse manure and one yard of field topsoil with 20% peat. I planted 50 tomatoes 1.5 of the palnters and 25 peppers. I put fences up but I think the peppers bought a ticket to the resurection. My peppers are talking to jesus right now.

Feed the hay to my chicekns! You know, hay and chicken manure or even just piles of green hay can make amazing compost. Just stack green cut grass and it starts composting in two days. It’s insanely fast and free soil building good stuff! You’re a heck of alot more energetic than me but then again you’re younger and have more incentive. lol

    Wild rabbits LOVE …
Wild rabbits LOVE pepper leaves…at least the rabbits in my yard do. I’m putting better fencing up this week to keep those cute irritating little freeloading nibblers out. Oh and chickens will peck them. Chicken damage will leave parts of torn leaves on the stems. Rabbit damage will remove the whole leaf. I’m letting the clover in the garden go to seed to increase the clover.

I sure hope you figure out your upload probelm. I’d really love to watch your videos about chickens and gardening.

Hi again Ray. I have a new channel now. I used to be Killface9. I changed channels but still can’t upload.
My bell and chile peppers got taken out by insects or my chickens or both. Do chickens eat pepper leaves? I’m stumped. Do Marigolds help?
I like the volunteer pasture grass in the garden. You should let some of head out that’s nice too.

My corn is 85 day stuff. It’s tiny.
    My tomatoes are capital.
    Your garden looks good.
