How to garden organically

GROFUN is a beautifully simple idea with a beautifully silly name.

GROFUN stands for ‘Growing Real organic food in Urban Neighbourhoods’ and coordinates groups of neighbours in communities cooperatively growing food in their own back gardens, sharing labour, skills, resources and last but not least-the delciious home-grown produce itself.

Imagine if most neighbourhoods did this, what a wonderful place our towns and cities would be to live in, improvement in health and wealth too. Imagine the increase in biodiversity, the wildlife habitat. Fantastic thanks for posting.

It’s like an allotment society on tour! There must be loads of people who want to grow their own and know the benefits, but haven’t yet got the know-how or confidence. What a brilliant way of getting people started!

If you haven’t already, look up Rob Hopkins’ blog Transition Culture. Stuff like this is the future!

Oh, and love the music too.

Its probably the speed of your connection, so my advice is to go make a cup of tea or turn down the sound and phone a friend, then watch the film in full when the red bar has had a chance to progress a bit. Catch my drift?

About Author

I've been an avid gardener most of my life and I've always had an interest in organic gardening. My parents always had gardens when I was a child and while I can't say that no chemicals were used, most products and methods used to maintain the garden were natural. Now that I have a garden of my own (past 7 years) I've gone strictly organic. This blog is my attempt to share Organic Gardening Tips with you.
