How to garden organically

Is there any natural or organic way that can be used as insecticide for orchids?

Try a tobacco tea solution. steep a couple single chew tobacco pouches like skoal bandits in water as you would a tea bag. let cool dilute w/ water and put in a spray bottle. spray your orchids. Tobacco tea is great for spraying entire yard for bug control.

well some farmers get a whole bunch of ladybugs and release them, they can get rid of some of the insects but basically there isn't a way

You might want to crush garlic and soak it in water for 24 hours stain out the garlic pieces and save the water, next you add a little dish soap…NOT DISHWASHER SOAP!!!

This is a good aphid killer

Garlic water as stated above with the dish soap works great! You can also add 1 drop of tobasco per cup of this mixture. Pour it into a spray bottle and spray the plants leaves on both sides. This also works for roses and tomato plants.

Neem oil works for some insects- a good garden center should have it.

About Author

I've been an avid gardener most of my life and I've always had an interest in organic gardening. My parents always had gardens when I was a child and while I can't say that no chemicals were used, most products and methods used to maintain the garden were natural. Now that I have a garden of my own (past 7 years) I've gone strictly organic. This blog is my attempt to share Organic Gardening Tips with you.
